Disney's Enchanted Art Direction

A series of concept art and visual development works I had done when I Art directed the animated segment of "Enchanted."

After I tried out different approaches (including that 3D rough of the castle), moods and color schemes, the director went for a 2D look (see the second series of pictures). The map here is actually the map for the 2D castle.

Final look of the castle. The director eventually went for a simple style with a soft colored line around objects to better integrate the characters and stay within the more "Alphonse Much/Art nouveau" look he had chosen.
